Calorie Buddy is a calorie tracker that counts honestly. You log a meal by photo, voice or a line of text; an assistant called Buddy does the arithmetic, in your language, and never turns a number into a verdict. Made by one person in Finland, for iPhone and Android, in six languages.
At a glance
Three stories in it
A diet app designed against guilt
The big trackers sell shame: red when you are "over", totals that begin with "already", streaks that scold. Calorie Buddy is built the other way — no "already", no verdicts, no dark patterns to keep you hooked. The number the app shows is the number; what you do with it is yours.
What last night did to today — read on the phone
With Apple Health connected, the app reads the night and shows what a late coffee or a late meal did to sleep — and says so only when you ask, in one sentence, never as a lecture. The analysis runs on the device.
One person against billion-dollar apps, in six languages
Fully in Swedish and Finnish, built and supported by a single developer in Finland. Privacy is the foundation, not a setting: voice becomes text on the phone when it can, chats are not stored, nothing is used to train AI, nothing is sold.

Calorie Buddy on kalorilaskuri, jossa on Buddy-niminen avustaja.
